About

Taryn Lee is a Eurasian, neurodivergent artist from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has a Bachelor of Design from Toronto Metropolitan University in the Fashion Communication. She’s had illustrations published in Canadian magazines, two illustrations in Martin Dawber’s 'The Big Book of Fashion Illustration’, and Capsules book ‘Drawn Leaders in Contemporary Illustration Vol.2’ by Crooks Press. Her fashion illustrations have been published in UK Goldfoil, LAZIN and ZOOT magazines.

Her art focuses on colourful, representational figurative works, portraits, and stylized fashion sketches. She has always been interested in people’s personal style and how they choose to express their unique identity through clothing and dress.

She’s had experience teaching children’s art in a classroom setting. In 2022, she taught a 5-week online course ‘Expressive Fashion Illustration with Watercolour’ and a 10-week online course ‘Expressive Fashion Illustration with Mixed Media’ in collaboration with Workman Arts. She has been facilitating a monthly in-person art workshop in Toronto with CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) at their Patient & Family Learning Space in Toronto since February 2023. She is part of the CAMH Collaborative Learning College (CLC) Evaluation Subcommittee which is currently evaluating best tools and practices used in recovery colleges. She is a 2022 Fellow of the Yale CAMH Let(s) Lead Program.

She is the owner of an Etsy shop, Bonnie & Clyde Vintage, which sells vintage jewelry and accessories. She enjoys the thrill of the hunt for special vintage pieces. Her love of jewelry and fashion history ties seamlessly into her fashion related art and illustration.
